Remnis is a DJ, radio host, and vinyl enthusiast whose passion for electronic music spans over a decade. Known for expertly blending hard trance, techno, neorave, and more, he presents two hours of carefully selected electronic music every fourth Friday of the month on Safehouse Radio.
His journey began in 2010 using a controller and laptop, before making the switch to vinyl in 2011 to enable playing classic hard trance records which were never released digitally. That same year, he became a weekly resident on the FearFM Hard Stream, showcasing early hardstyle and hard trance to an international online audience. Following the closure of the station in late 2012, Remnis continued to build his reputation within the Dutch underground scene as gigs picked up from 2013.
By 2015, he had become a familiar name in Utrecht’s club circuit, and in 2015 joined BIT (Back In Time), a collective dedicated to preserving and celebrating the sounds of early hardstyle and old-school hard trance. Through BIT, he also became a resident on Real Hardstyle Radio, bringing classic harder styles to a new generation of listeners.
In September 2016, Remnis joined Safehouse Radio as a monthly resident. Over the years, his musical horizons expanded beyond hard trance, embracing techno, neorave, and drum & bass while maintaining the energetic qualities that have always defined his sets.
After relocating to Hamburg, Germany, in early 2017, Remnis immersed himself in the city’s thriving techno culture. He became involved with several collectives, including DANS, Nautilus, and Berlin’s SchiebeLiebe, helping to organise underground parties and rave events while continuing his radio work.
Over the years, Remnis has performed at more than 100 events across the Netherlands, Germany, France, and soon Norway. Highlights include appearances at renowned venues such as Basis, ACU, and Poema in Utrecht, as well as Hafenklang and Fabrique at Gängeviertel in Hamburg.
Whether behind the decks at a packed club, broadcasting on radio, or digging through crates of vinyl, Remnis remains dedicated to sharing the finest sounds from the harder and deeper sides of electronic music, bridging the past, present, and future of rave culture.
