Dovetail (a.k.a. Sam Parsley) brings together her hard techno roots with soaring melodic vibes – all infused with a twist of fun and funk! She cut her raving teeth in the hard dancescene of the early noughties and began DJing in 2015, racking up a string of appearances at underground parties, festivals and live-streams and becoming a Sisu core DJ in 2019.
Her 2020 debut as a producer – a luscious, cinematic two-track breakbeat EP – hit No.1 in the Beatport Top 100 Breaks Releases chart, with her follow-up also making the Top 5. With music signed to Diesel Recordings, Deep Down Dirty, DaCosta Records and Break Wind Productions, she continues to make bass-facin’, hip-shakin’ music with heart and soul.
A champion of small labels, self-producers and minority communities in dance music, Sam’s unending love for the underground has manifested in residencies for Unmade Radio, Threads Radio and Safehouse Radio.
She is also as talent-booker/ artist liaison for Deevstock Festival and the Boomtown Garden Centre.
