Born in 1985 in the city of Venlo, Dutch producer Peter Joosten has been active in the global hard dance scene ever since his first release in 2007. He is a trained classical pianist and amateur musicologist with a fondness for Beethoven, Chopin and Schumann, and turned to writing hard trance in 2004, at the suggestion of a friend.
Not long after, he finished his first track and countless others followed. In 2007 he signed a record deal with S-Trax Recordings and teamed up with colleague Erick, whose studio he used back then. They did many DJ gigs and produced tracks as a duo for a few years.
Their accolades are numerous: being supported by every big name in hard trance, from Scot Project and Mark Sherry to DJ Dean and Gary D., and even the odd track picked up by major trance deejays like Ferry Corsten and Manuel Le Saux, they scored several spots on CD compilations in Germany, Switzerland and Australia. With all in all 2 dozen releases and remixes, it must be clear that 'The Sixth Sense' is an established part of the hard trance scene.
After a hiatus, during which both of them started exploring other things (Erick his photography, Peter classical piano study) The Sixth Sense has been revived, landing a show on di.fm every 2 weeks and his monthly residency at Safehouse Radio, having released several more tunes, and ready for more! The project is solely Peter's responsibility these days, and he spends many hours in his software-based studio environment, having prepared 10 new tracks in the first 4 months of 2015 alone.
