Taking his name from the Finnish word for ‘villain,’ Roisto is a maestro from the deep, dark forests of northernmost Finland. In his small studio, adorned with old analog synths, tape machines, and 12″ disco records, Roisto crafts his signature brand of disco. His debut EP, ‘Apart In Love,’ showcased three original disco tracks, featuring catchy sampled vocals, slick guitars, and super funky bass-lines. Released by Finnish indie label Youth Control, the EP garnered widespread attention, with The Wired, DJ Mag, Thump, and others featuring it.
‘Apart In Love’ received support from renowned DJs, including Armand Van Helden, The Magician, Utah Saints, and more.
