Who is Hatstandy, you ask? Well, Hatstandy is none other than Andy Turner, a seasoned producer who has been crafting electronic/dance music since the late nineties. His journey began with live PA performances on hardware equipment in clubs and at raves, creating a vibe that left audiences craving more.
In 2005, Andy decided to take his music production skills to the next level. Studying record production ignited a deeper passion, leading to numerous releases on various independent labels. Notably, his early success came with tracks like “This Heaven,” championed by renowned names like The Flash Brothers at the Renaissance festival, and “Emerge and See,” supported by Dom Kane (Mau5trap).
Fast forward to 2017, and Headstandy takes the reins, launching his own label, “Ghost Fat Productions.” Specializing in a unique blend of “Trance/Breaks,” his productions are a fusion of the two genres, peppered with influences from hip-hop, resulting in something truly distinctive. With a 50/50 mix of Trance and Breaks, Hatstandy’s tracks often take on a song format, featuring his own vocals and lyrics – a signature touch that adds a personal and captivating element to his creations.
