Release number 29 on Ghost Fat Productions sees this 126 bpm Electro Breaks/Prog Trance banger with original vox from HatStandy. Catchy, uplifting and euphoric with a darker breakdown which appears to take you on a journey under water (in keeping with the mermaid theme) and then up to the surface again for the drop. This track would go well in either a breakbeat or progressive trance mix, highlighting HatStandys genre crossing skills. Official release date 12.12.20
HatStandy LIVE: A right old HatStandy mix-up of Tech/Prog House/Trance and Breaks, every Friday from 6pm on Safehouse Radio.
Hatstandy is Andy Turner, a producer who has been making electronic/dance music sisnce the late nineties... originally on hardware equipment doing a live PA in clubs and at raves.
In 2005 he studied record production and got into producing more seriously & has since had many releases on various independent labels. His most notable success from the early days was a track called "This heaven" which was supported by names such as The Flash Brothers who played it in their headlining set of the Renaissance festival, also "Emerge and See" which was supported by Dom Kane (Mau5trap).
In 2017 HatStandy started his own label "Ghost Fat Productions" for releasing his own tracks. The style of his productions would be most accurately described as "Trance/Breaks", a pretty much 50/50 fusion of the two genres with other influences such as hip hop thrown in, with many of the tracks having a song format, featuring his own vox/lyrics. The result of all this is something quite unique.
